EVERGREEN POSTNATAL
ASSESSMENT

At Women in Focus, we know that pregnancy and birth create the most significant physical and hormonal changes that our bodies go through in our lifetimes.

An experience of loss does not lessen the need for a post-natal body to be cared for and respected to optimise recovery.

Our uniquely considered Evergreen postnatal checks have been designed with loss in mind. We want to give our patients confidence to come into our clinic, knowing they will be met with sensitivity and care.

When you are ready (we recommend an appointment anytime from 4-6 weeks), you can book an appointment quoting 'Evergreen postnatal assessment', and from your first contact, our team will take as much care as possible to avoid the things that may be painful to hear, see and experience after baby loss.

We want to ensure every woman is in control and aware of what this assessment may include, as we understand that sensitivity is required in these moments.

Further important information about your appointment:

Our physiotherapists often use ultrasound and vaginal examination to assess and treat the bladder, pelvic floor muscles and abdominal muscles.

If during your appointment the physiotherapist believes that an ultrasound or vaginal examination is important to optimise your care, they will discuss this with you and only use these modalities if you consent and would like to proceed. At every point of assessment and treatment you will have the option to choose not to have these procedures and the physiotherapist will discuss other options with you.
