Melissa is a highly accomplished Women’s Health Physiotherapist with 15 years of experience at The Royal Hospital for Women and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
She currently works at both Women in Focus Physiotherapy and the Royal Hospital for Women where she is a senior clinician working in pre and postnatal, complex pelvic pain, gynaecology and oncology clinics and is involved in research projects including the pelvic floor outcomes of forceps births.
She specialises in spinal, pelvic and hip conditions and complex issues of the pelvic floor and how they relate to the musculoskeletal function of the body.
Melissa is also a pilates instructor who has trained through the Queensland Institute of Pilates and has a particular interest in exercise programming for pre and postnatal women and seniors groups.
She is committed to ongoing professional development and has recently completed a professional certificate in the conservative management of pelvic organ prolapse through the University of South Australia and is currently enrolled at the UNSW in a Masters of Public Health.
When she’s not at work she stays busy keeping up with her three active children.
